Next Sunday, Rayo Vallecano will measure forces with Celta de Vigo at Campo de Fútbol de Vallecas for round 32 of Liga BBVA. The home side was severely punished on the Madrid derby last weekend against Real Madrid, but Paco Jémez liked his players’ attitude during the match and he believes that the team will manage to quickly bounce back from last Saturday’s setback.

Rayo Vallecano were on a five match undefeated row until becoming the victim of Santiago Bernabéu’s goal galore, but despite the final result, the team from Vallecas managed to put up a pleasant performance, at least until the first ten minutes of the second half. For next Sunday’s match, Paco Jémez will still probably not be able to count on the Spanish defender Tito and on the Argentinean centre back Leonel Galeano who are still recovering from injury.

Contrary to the home side, Celta de Vigo grabbed an important victory on Liga BBVA’s last round. Los Celestes defeated an extra-motivated Sevilla side with a single from Nolito from the penalty spot in the dying moments of the match. Luis Enrique’s side managed to return to the good results after experiencing four defeats in the last five matches. Celta de Vigo’s home win against Sevilla offered the team three points that might be crucial for securing a place at La Liga next season. Despite displaying some attractive football, Los Celestes have yet failed to find their best self throughout this season and the lack of experience of some their younger players have probably costed them a great deal of points so far.

The Asturian manager will probably not be able to count on the Argentinean centre back Gustavo Cabral who is dealing with an injury on his left ankle.

When both teams met last November at Los Balaídos, Rayo Vallecano grabbed a 2-0 win with goals from Larrivey and Viera that aggravated the poor home form from the Galician team.

Next Sunday however, the men from Vallecas will have to be very alert if they want to grab something positive from the match since Celta de Vigo look far more dangerous when playing away from home this season and they already obtained important victories at Villarreal and Sevilla just to name a few.
