The English bowlers well led by the speedster, James Anderson, and the emerging off spinner, Moeen Ali, ripped through the batting line up of India twice. The hosts won the third Test at The Rose Bowl by a vast margin of 266 runs and made the five match Test series alive as that stands at 1-1. The fourth game will commence on August 7, in Manchester and the winning team over there will have a fair chance of clinching the series.

Players to watch

The skipper of the home side, Alastair Cook, got back to the business after quite a while by smashing 95 and unbeaten 70 runs in the third Test while Gary Ballance and Ian Bell powered over 150 runs each. The debutant wicket keeper Jos Buttler made an impact by scoring 85 runs and Joe Root is already among runs. James Anderson has grabbed 16 wickets in three Tests and was declared ‘Player of the match’ in the previous one. Moeen Ali has surprised the visitors by taking 15 wickets so far and the seasoned Stuart Broad is maintaining his reputation.

Ajinkya Rahane was the best batsman of the visitors with two fifties in the last game and MS Dhoni chipped in with a half century. The opener Murali Vijay is their top scorer with 364 runs comprising one century and two fifties, Cheteshwar Pujara is not at his best yet and out of form Virat Kohli is their main worry. India will be missing their star fast bowler, Ishant Sharma, who has not recovered from Sore Leg yet. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the highest wicket taker with 15 but he is also a doubtful starter whereas Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja are required to bowl with positive results.

  1. It will be same old story, India will loose. Take my free tips don't bet on India. Bet on England or draw.

  2. India are most vulnerable as they are down and Ishant is ruled out for the 4th Test. Only some miraculous batting inning can save India to draw the test.

  3. Most bookies are offering an odd in the range of 5.5+ before the start of the match, that says all about India. Lol!
India go home and play street Cricket known as IPL that's what suits you most.
