|Bangladesh v Pakistan 2015|
ScheduleFriday, 17 April 2015 at 08:30 GMT / 09:30 UK / 14:00 IST
VenueShere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur
Team Pakistan will commence their trip of Bangladesh with a One Day International under their new captain, Azhar Ali. Two countries started their rivalry in the limited overs cricket in 1986 and the Green Shirts grasped the game by seven wickets. They have played 30 ODIs so far, the hosts have clinched just one and lost 29 matches. The young looking Pakistani squad has to perform excellently since the Bengal Tigers are in good nick and they might upset them in the forthcoming series.
Azhar Ali played his last ODI on January 3, 2013, against India in Kolkata and was not considered for selection later on so he may be anxious to prove his worth. Asad Shafiq, Mohammad Hafeez, Fawad Alam, Sarfraz Ahmed, Mohammad Rizwan and Sami Aslam will be their prominent batsmen. Haris Sohail and Saad Nasim are fine all-rounders while their seasoned bowling line-up revolves around Saeed Ajmal, Rahat Ali, Junaid Khan, Wahab Riaz and Yasir Shah.
Bangladesh performed reasonably well in the recently concluded ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 and their tails must be up at the home grounds. Mahmudullah was the pick of their batsmen as Mominul Haque, Nasir Hossain, Mushfiqur Rahim, Tamim Iqbal, Sabbir Rahman, Rony Talukdar and Soumya Sarkar will take charge of batting. Shakib Al Hasan is a world class all-rounder and rest of their bowling will be guarded by Mashrafe Mortaza, Rubel Hossain, Arafat Sunny, Taskin Ahmed and Abul Hasan.
