The 14 seed has not defeated the top seed and world’s best tennis player since 2008. In the meantime, Djoko has had his way with the South African in the last 4 meetings. As predicted, the big serving Anderson reached the fourth round with a straight set win over Leonardo Mayer. Djokovic has looked every bit the top seed, reaching the Round of Sixteen without losing a set and firmly asserting himself as the best player. Anderson will need to protect his serve because Djoko makes a habit of breaking big serves. We think the South African will win one set in a tiebreaker but Djoko will prevail in four sets.
