Perth Scorchers and Melbourne Stars played against each other in their final pool match of the Big Bash League, 2014-15, that was won by the latter with a difference of three wickets. The former registered 179 runs for the loss of just two wickets in the allotted 20 overs and Melbourne Stars smashed 7-182 with three balls still available. Both teams ended up with 10 points but the Perth Scorchers grasped the second position because of a better run rate. The semi-final between them will be a super fight for the final spot and the side performing well on the day will qualify for it.

They scored 79, 71 runs respectively and Adam Voges chipped in with 27 whereas Michael Carberry has scored over two hundred runs in the event. Yasir Arafat was the bowler of the day with four wickets while Jason Behrendorff, Andrew Tye and Ashton Agar have responded nicely throughout the tournament.
Peter Handscomb blasted 103 off 64 mere deliveries for Melbourne Stars against Perth Scorchers and won the match for his team single handed. Their top and middle order batting collapsed except John Hastings who reached 20 runs mark. Cameron White, Luke Wright and Kevin Pietersen must bat excellently to win the important match. John Hastings is their supreme bowler with 13 wickets whereas Jackson Bird, Scott Boland and Michael Beer are supporting him perfectly.
